Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other Sacraments. Through Baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission: “Baptism is the sacrament of regeneration through water in the word.”

Baptism arrangements must be made at least one month in advance.

St. Anthony Claret offers Baptisms in English and in Spanish once a month.
Reminder: There are no Baptisms during Lent which will be from February 18, 2026 to April 5, 2026.

Age Requirements
Children 7 years or older cannot be baptized immediately. They must first register for Faith Formation classes.
📖 Faith Formation Preparation
Children will be prepared for Baptism and First Communion at the Faith Formation Office. This helps them understand the meaning of the Sacraments and their responsibilities.
