Objective
Provide help families to understand and cope with the grieving process, providing support in planning the vigil, mourning liturgy, and cemetery ceremony.
Our mission is to have a multilingual team so that our ministry continues to be one of the pillars of our church, voluntarily offering some relief to families who belong to our parish as well as those who come from outside.
Proposal
- Incorporate two to three people from American, Filipino, Vietnamese, and Hispanic backgrounds, with the vision of forming a team of at least 6 to 8 members.
- Whenever possible, ensure that there are always two volunteers present during a funeral Mass, in order to provide more personalized service.
- Seek training from other parishes or groups specialized in grief, to strengthen our knowledge of psychology and provide appropriate guidance to families.
- Understand that our service is free of charge but carries great emotional and spiritual responsibility, since we are direct representatives of our parish.
- Meet at least once a month to share experiences, offer suggestions, and nourish our faith, and to meet with our priests at least twice a year.
- Collaborate in the development of the memorial Mass that our parish celebrates each year in memory of those who have passed away during the past year.
- Provide a description of each member on the website, allowing people to know who we are and that we are part of the parish.
How We Help Grieving Families
- We call them to schedule an interview.
- They are given the privilege of choosing the readings and religious songs for the funeral Mass.
- We explain the process that will take place: reception of the body, entrance into the church, the celebration of the liturgy, and the departure from the church.
- If specialized counseling is needed, we help them obtain it. Our church has begun to offer mental health services.
- We provide evangelization related to the grieving process.
- But most importantly, we accompany you and pray for each of you.
- If you are important to God, then for that very reason you are important to us.

- You may not always receive a call from a church phone. This ministry is carried out by volunteers, and in some cases they may call from their personal phones.

Ministerio de Duelo.
Objetivo
Ayudar a las familias a entender y enfrentar el proceso de duelo, brindando apoyo en la planificación de la vigilia, liturgia luctuosa y ceremonia en el cementerio.
Nuestra misión es tener un equipo multilingüe para que nuestro ministerio siga siendo uno de los pilares de nuestra iglesia que de forma voluntaria brinda un poco de alivio a nuestras familias que pertenecen a nuestra parroquia como las que viene de fuera.
Propuesta
- Incorporar de dos a tres personas estadounidense, filipina, vietnamita e hispana con la visión de conformar un equipo de por lo menos 6 o 8 personas.
- Tratar en la medida de lo posible que durante la misa de funeral siempre estemos dos voluntarias, de esa forma se da un servicio más personalizado.
- Buscar capacitación por otras parroquias o grupos especializados en el duelo, para fortalecer nuestros conocimientos en psicología para brindar adecuada orientación a las familias.
- Comprender que nuestro servicio es gratuito pero con una gran responsabilidad emocional y espiritual ya que somos los representantes directos de nuestra parroquia.
- Reunirnos por lo menos una vez al mes, en donde expresemos nuestras experiencias y se puedan brindar sugerencias, así como alimentar nuestra fe. También para que por lo dos veces al año podamos charlar con nuestros sacerdotes.
- Colaborar en el desarrollo de la misa memorial que cada año nuestra parroquia celebra en memoria de nuestros difuntos del último año.
Como ayudamos a la familia del doliente.
- Les llamamos para concertar una entrevista.
- Se les da el privilegio de escoger las lecturas y los cantos religiosos para el día de la misa.
- Le explicamos cual será el proceso que se llevara a cabo: recibimiento del cuerpo, entrada al templo, desarrollo de la celebración litúrgica y salida del templo.
- Si ocupase asesoría especializada le ayudamos a obtenerlo. En nuestra iglesia empezamos a bien el servicio de salud mental.
- Les brindamos un poco de evangelización en el área de duelo.
- Pero lo más importante es que le acompañamos y oramos por cada uno de ustedes.
Si usted es importante para Dios, con justificada razón es importante para nosotros.
